Woohoo! Today is publication day for 'The Seaside Supper Club'! And I wanted to tell you a little more about the inspirations behind this book and warm-hearted series. 📚💕
Imagine inheriting a beach hut by the sea, only to find that yours is the one
that’s ramshackle and rodent-ridden. The setting of this third novel in the Supper Club series is inspired by the stunning Northumberland coast, in particular the
beach-hut style bungalows at beautiful Embleton Bay, as well as village life in
the countryside. It’s a story with themes of friendship – the beach hut
renovations are tackled with fun and gusto with a little help from Will and
Cath’s friends, we explore the trickiness of blended family, the warmth of community,
the highs and lows of love and loss, along with a curveball of ill health, and
a tender second chance romance. There’s also a glorious community social tea
event, and you’ll find food with flair, plus some tasty recipes to try in the
back of the book.
It’s a life-affirming celebration of summer by the sea and afternoon tea,
whilst dealing with difficult emotional issues too. It’s about hope and
healing, and I’d like to think it will inspire you to go for your dreams and
ambitions at whatever age or stage in life you are. There’s always a second
chance.
